Our history
Schaeffer's history has always been linked to textiles. The adventure began in 1798 with the Haeffely textile bleaching facility in Mulhouse in Alsace, one of France's textile regions. The first turning point came in 1887 with the industrialisation of production and the birth of Schaeffer & Cie, a textile industrial group.
En 1969, avec la création de Schaeffer Engineering le groupe Schaeffer s’ouvre aux activités d’Engineering dans le monde entier. En 1996, le département informatique textile, né en 1985, est finalisé et devient une entreprise spécialisée à part entière.
L'histoire riche et diversifiée de Schaeffer Productique a permis de forger son expertise dans le domaine textile. Ce parcours unique contribue à son positionnement actuel de leader français pour l'industrie textile.
In 1969, with the creation of Schaeffer Engineering, the Schaeffer group expanded into engineering activities throughout the world. In 1996, the textile IT department, created in 1985, became a subsidiary and a fully specialised company.
